There's nothing like a rich cacao hit when your energy gets a little low and these raw spirulina, coconut and cacao delights win. A mix of healthy fats, protein and natural sugars, with an addition of spirulina, they are top when it comes to nutrition.

Brazil nuts are rich in vitamin E and selenium so know to be a good skin boost too. Spirulina can be over-powering but with the coconut and richness of the cacao, you can't taste it. These are deeply rich in taste so be careful, you may want t eat the whole batch at once!

The key is to have a good blender; we use a MAGIMIX.

Makes 12-15 balls, dependant on size

- 100g brazil nuts

- 150g dates

- 40g coconut flakes

- 3 tablespoons raw cacao powder

- 2 tablespoons cacao nibs

- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

- 1 tablespoon spirulina

- one teaspoon coconut oil (optional if mix is a little dry)

Add the ingredients to the blender and blend until the consistency holds when pressing with your fingers. Using a tablespoon to measure, take a good spoonful and use your palms to press firm and then roll into a ball.

These can keep in the freezer for a month or the fridge for up to a week - that's if you can resist not eating them all in one go.

These are a great on-the-go snack (one to two), great alongside a nut mylk at breakfast or alternatively, don't roll them into balls and use the mix as a topping for smoothies, porridge or chia seed puddings.
